Mineral Area Marines Try to Join League

(St. Francois County, MO) A group called, The Mineral Area Marines, is working towards becoming a part of the Marine Corps League. Ron Rouggly is one of those leading the effort. Rouggly says the League began in the 1920's with a specific mission in mind for marines who were no longer a part of the service.

Rouggly adds the Mineral Area Marines are meeting tonight at 7 o'clock at the American Legion Post 416 at 1604 West Columbia Street, in Farmington. Rouggly says Marines and Navy Corpsman are welcome to join the group. Bring your DD214 discharge paperwork and $40 to become a member of the Mineral Area Marines.
