Man in Court on 8 Year old Evidence

(Farmington, MO) A Farmington man, 37 year old Garrett Dewayne Belcher Sr. is set for a St. Francois County court date Thursday on charges of one count of first degree rape, or attempted rape, in the first degree. Reports indicate the incident is alleged to have happened in Park Hills in February of 2014. The evidence kit was just recently tested by the Highway Patrol. The DNA evidence pointed to Belcher who, according to reports, admitted to having sex with the woman. Belcher had a $100,000 bond set when he was booked into the St. Francois County Jail.
