Man Drowns In Cape Girardeau Lake

(Jackson, MO) A Jackson man, 58-year-old Kenneth Pair, is dead after he drowned in Cape Girardeau County Sunday night. Reports from the Missouri Highway Patrol show it happened at around 9:30 at the Jackson City Lake. Pair swam into the lake and went under but did not resurface. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Pair was not wearing a life jacket when the incident occurred. His death marks the 6th drowning of the year in Troop E.
