(Jefferson City, MO.) Missouri Legislators are heading back to Jefferson City to work on finishing the legislative session that had been derailed by the coronavirus. State Representative, Chris Dinkins, says finishing the state budget will be tough this year with Governor Parson withholding millions of dollars from the budget to cover part of the fight against the coronavirus.
Dinkins adds besides the budget with its changes legislators will also be dealing with new procedures on entering the building, debate, committee hearings, and voting on legislation in order to keep following the social distancing orders put forth to fight the coronavirus. Dinkins also says it's possible the Governor might have to call a special session to complete this year's business. The session will reconvene today at noon in Jefferson City.
