Leadwood Man Arrested for Child Pornography

(Leadwood, MO.) Missouri Highway Patrol investigators announce the arrest of a Leadwood man, 44 year old Paul Ottis Mendoza, on charges of possession of child pornography. Officials with the Patrol say Mendoza was arrested Monday after an investigation involving members of the patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control's Digital Forensics Investigative Unit and the Missouri Digital Forensic Center. The only details being released by investigators show investigators executed a search warrant at Mendoza's residence on Hunt Street in Leadwood. As a result of the search investigators seized child pornography and computer equipment. He was taken to the St. Francois County jail where's he's being held without bond. St. Francois County Prosecuting Attorney, Melissa Gilliam, has officially charged Mendoza with three counts of  possession of child pornography.
