Leadington VFW Flag Retirement Ceremony

(Leadington, MO) A flag retirement ceremony will be held Sunday at the Leadington VFW, Post #5741. The Commander of the post, Bill Henson, says everyone is invited to attend to watch the ceremony and bring your old used or worn Flags with you for proper disposal.

According to Henson once the flag is burned the eyelets from the flags are buried in respect for the American Flag. The Flag Retirement Ceremony at the Leadington VFW this Sunday will take place at 6:30 pm. Local Boy Scout Troops are also involved in helping collect flags from residents of the Parkland. The Leadington VFW Post is located at 600 East Woodlawn Drive.
