Lawmakers Pass Budget

(Jefferson City, MO.) Missouri lawmakers are sending Governor Mike Parson a $51.7 billion budget, after it was approved prior to Friday's 6 pm deadline.

State Representative of the 116th district, Dale Wright, says, as usual, there were a lot of negotiations back and forth between House and Senate members.

Also included in Missouri's new budget is K - 12 state education funding, a 3.2% raise for state emlpoyees, and a 3% increase in state funding for higher education.
