K9 Unit Practice Changing

(Farmington, MO) Law Enforcement officials with the St. Francois County Sheriff's Department are gaining a new K9 Officer and retraining others now that recreational marijuana is legal. St. Francois County Commissioner, David Kater, says it is important K9 Officers are able to be retrained and kept available for future use.

According to Kater, K9 Officers can no longer be used for probable cause to search a vehicle if they detect marijuana.
