Jefferson County Woman Injured in Accident

Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Jefferson County woman is recovering from moderate injuries she received in an accident Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Accident report, at 3:30 p.m., 33-year-old Kassandra L. Thomas, of House Springs, was driving a car and was stopped on the ramp from Southbound Highway 21 to Old Highway 21, near Shady Valley, in Jefferson County. An SUV, driven by 61-year-old Eugene R. Barrow, approached Thomas' car from behind, lost control and traveled off the left side. He attempted to return to the roadway and overturned, striking the rear of Thomas' car.

Thomas was transported to Mercy Hospital South for treatment of her injuries. Barrow was not injured and was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
