Ironton Man Injured in Traffic Accident

(Iron County, MO) An Ironton man 56 year old, Robert C. Sanzotera, is recovering from moderate injuries after he was involved in a traffic crash in Iron County Monday morning at 1:20 am. Troopers with the Highway Patrol say Sanzotera was driving an SUV south on Highway 221, in Pilot Knob, when he attempted to avoid a go kart in the roadway. His vehicle ran off the road and crashed into a culvert. Sanzotera was flown to Mercy Hospital at St. Louis. He was wearing a seat belt when the accident took place.
