Inflation High in St. Francois County

(Farmington, MO) The inflation rate in St. Francois County is hovering around 5%. That figure was released during the Tuesday St. Francois County Commission meeting. St. Francois County Presiding Commissioner, Harold Gallaher, says the costs for everything the county uses is causing ripples and repurcussioins for future planning.

In other business at Tuesday's St. Francois County Commission meeting commissioners approved a letter from the commission supporting the idea of companies who are looking to the federal Government for funding broadband installation in rural areas. The idea is for the letter of support to help companies when they apply for the funding to install the technology.
