Henderson Appointed to Illegal Immigration Committee

Jefferson City, Mo. - State representative Mike Henderson has been appointed by Missouri House Speaker Dean Plocher to the Special Interim Committee on Illegal Immigrant Crimes.

According to a press release received Wednesday, this special committee will work closely with law enforcement agencies to assess criminal activites involving illegal immigrants, then using data to develop evidence-based policies aimed at reducing illegal immigrant crime. Henderson says the committee will explore what can be done to address the situation.

The House hopes the committee's findings will "enhance the safety and well-being" of all Missouri residents.
