Heat Advisory Going Into Effect Today

(St. Francois County, MO) A heat advisory is going into effect for the listening area this afternoon. The National Weather Service says that beginning at 1 o'clock, hot temperatures and high humidity will push heat index values well into triple digits. Be sure to stay hydrated, and look after pets, friends, family members, and neighbors. Remember the effects of high heat are cumulative, which means heat related illnesses will become more likely each day. You are urged to stay inside if you can. The Advisory will remain effect until 9 o'clock Thursday night.
