Gas Pump Pulled Loose

(Farmington, MO) There is no damage to the building portion of a Farmington convenience store after a gas pump was pulled loose from it's base at the Convenience Barn on Ste. Genevieve Avenue Sunday evening. Reports indicate a customer forgot to replace the fuel nozzle after getting gas and drove off with it still attached to his SUV. The pump was dislodged and the system shut the gas flow to prevent further damage. There was a fire at the pump but it was extinguished within minutes of the arrival of Farmington firefighters. No injuries were reported.
