Frostbite can Cause Serious Injuries

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - When a person becomes a victim of frostbite, the severity of the injury can cause serious complications.

An Environmental Public Health Specialist & Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coordinator with the St. Francois County Health Center, Donovan Kleinberg, says one of the first signs of frostbite is numbness.

According to Kleinberg, if you believe you have been frostbitten you should go to an urgent care center, or emergency room at your local hosptal. Freezing temperatures are expected to happen Tuesday night in the Parkland with a low of 25 being predicted.
