Fredericktown Man Dies in Crash

(Bollinger County, MO) A Fredericktown man, 30 year old Kody J. Menteer, is dead after a one vehicle crash involving a pick up in Bollinger County Monday morning at 5:20. According to Troopers with the Highway Patrol, Menteer was driving the pick up west on Bollinger County Road 924, 4 miles north of Patton, when the truck ran off the road, struck a tree and an embankment, and rolled over. A passenger in the truck, 28 year old James C. Edmonds of Fredericktown, was seriously injured and was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Neither Edmonds nor Menteer was wearing a seat belt when the crash took place.
