Food Safety Important for Holiday

(St. Francois County, MO.) It's hot outside and that means food will spoil faster if not taken care of.  The St. Francois County Health Department's food safety specialist Donovan Kleinberg says people may not fully realize how fast food can spoil in 90 degree heat.

Kleinberg says keep hot foods hot, and cold foods cold.  ice down salads and other food items, and consider keeping the grilled meat in a disposable aluminum pan on top of the hot grill's lid or on the grates to keep the hot food hot.
