Fire Destroys Bonne Terre Home-Updated Story

(Bonne Terre, MO) A home on Center Street in Bonne Terre is destroyed after a fire at the residence Monday afternoon. Firefighters from several departments were called to the blaze at 3 o'clock. We'll have more information on the fire from KFMO B104 News. There were several residential fires in the area over the weekend.

(Updated Tuesday, 12-29-20 11:40 am) Big River Bonne Terre Fire Chief, David Pratte, says the home was an old home that had been abandon for several years. Pratte adds the blaze was creating a threat to adjacent buildings.

Pratte adds accelerants were involved and the State Fire Marshall is investigating. There was also a house fire in Park Hills yesterday. That home was vacant as well. Firefighters also had to battle a blaze in Bismarck. It's not known yet if any of the fires may have been connected.
