Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Highway 32 in St. Francois County

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A fatal accident involving a pedestrian occurred early Monday morning on Highway 32, approximately a quarter-mile east of Flat River Road in St. Francois County at around 1:50 a.m.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado was traveling westbound when it struck a 48-year-old female pedestrian, from Farmington. She was in the roadway when the vehicle, driven by a 19-year-old man from Bismarck, struck her in lane two.

The driver, who was wearing a safety belt, sustained no injuries. His vehicle sustained minor damage and was towed from the scene. The pedestrian was pronounced dead by St. Francois County Coroner Jason Coplin.
