Fatal Crash in St. Francois County

(St. Francois County, MO) A woman from St. Louis, 42 year old Anela Ratkusic, is dead, and several others are injured, after a two vehicle wreck in St. Francois County Saturday night at 11:40. According to Highway Patrol reports 44 year old Zulfo Ratkusic, of St. Louis, was driving his SUV north on Highway 67 at the intersection with Highway Y. A vehicle driven west by 21 year old Anthony H. Smith, of Park Hills, failed to yield to Ratkusic's SUV and the two vehicles crashed into one another. Ratkusic's vehicle flew through the air landing in the southbound lanes. Smith and a passenger in his vehicle, 20 year old Thomas L. Perry of Cadet, were moderately injured. Zulfo Ratkusic was moderately injured while his passenger's an 8 year old girl, a 14 year old female, and a 66 year old female, Aisa Ratkusic, all from St. Louis, received minor injuries. Everyone was wearing their safety device except Anela Ratkusic, Smith, and Perry. Smith and Perry were taken to Parkland Health Center South at Farmington while the injured from the other vehicle were taken to Parkland Health center North at Bonne Terre.
