Fatal Crash Claims One Life in Jefferson County

Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A fatal crash claimed the life of a Jefferson County man on Thursday, October 17.  According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened at approximately 11:14 a.m. on northbound U.S. Highway 67 at Meyer Road in Jefferson County. The collision reportedly involved two vehicles and resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries.

According to the crash report, a car, driven by 44-year-old Todd Tyson, of DeSoto, was traveling behind another car, driven by 71-year-old Gerald Feuling, of Pearland, Tx. Both vehicles were heading north when they approached an intersection. Feuling attempted to stop for a red light, but his vehicle slid into the intersection. Tyson's Toyota then collided with the rear of Feuling's car.

Tyson was critically injured and transported to Mercy Hospital Jefferson by ambulance, and was later pronounced dead. His passenger, 28-year-old Cristia Cheatham, also of DeSoto, sustained serious injuries and was transported to the same hospital.

Feuling suffered minor injuries, while his passenger, 75-year-old Catherine Feuling, was seriously injured. Both were taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson for treatment.
