Farmington Residential Fire Destroys Home

(Farmington, MO) No injuries are being reported from a residential fire in the 200 block of Nelson Street. Farmington Fire Chief, Todd Mecey, says one end of the home was heavily involved with flames.

Firemen were called out at 4:51 this morning at a time when the temperature was 4 degrees. According Mecey they struck a second alarm due to the severe temperatures. Some family pets lost their lives in the fire. It took about a half hour to get the blaze under control. Farmington Firemen received assistance from the Wolf Creek Doe Run, Big River Bonne Terre, and Desloge fire departments.
