Excessive Heat Still on Track for Parkland

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - Excessive heat is still on track for the Parkland through Thursday of this week.

An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect across the northern two-thirds of Missouri and Metro St. Louis. This also includes Jefferson, Ste. Genevieve, Perry and Bollinger Counties until 7 p.m. Thursday, August 1.

A Heat Advisory remains in effect across southeast Missouri and includes St. Francois, Washington, Iron and Madison Counties until 7 p.m. Thursday.

The combination of high humidity, high temperatures, and light winds will produce dangerous heat index values, 105 to 110 degrees each day.

Rain chances through Thursday may bring brief relief from the heat for portions of the area.
