Driver in Pick Up Wreck Charged

(Ste. Genevieve, MO) A Farmington man, who was the driver of a pick up truck involved in a one vehicle accident Tuesday night in Ste. Genevieve County, is facing DWI charges. 18 year old Elijah E. Wann, is charged with driving while intoxicated causing physical injury following the incident which caused moderate injuries to a 17 year old male juvenile, a passenger in Wann's truck. The truck was headed west on Saline Creek Road, east of Cave Road, when it ran off the left side of the road. Wann overcorrected and the pick up returned to the road, then rolled over. The 17 year old was flown to SSM Health St. Louis University at St. Louis. Wann was not injured. Wann has an initial court appearance in Ste. Genevieve County Circuit Court Wednesday, July 27th.
