(Jefferson County, MO) A man from Dittmer, identified as 68 year old Randy McDowell, is dead following a 1 vehicle crash that occurred early Sunday morning in Jefferson County. Reports from the Highway Patrol indicate the wreck took place around 3 o'clock on Highway 30. McDowell, who was headed west, lost control of the vehicle and it ran off the road at West Forest Hills Drive. It crashed into a tree. McDowell, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead on the scene.
