(Jefferson City, MO) A man from DeSoto, identified as 53 year old Duane K. Ballew, is seriously injured following a 1 vehicle wreck that occurred in Jefferson County Tuesday night. Troopers with the Highway Patrol says it happened just after 8:30 on Route V at Brittany Lane. Ballew's SUV went off the right side of the road and hit a mailbox, then a tree. Ballew, who was not wearing his seat belt, was taken to Mercy Hospital at St. Louis.
