Deck to be Executed Tonight

(Bonne Terre, MO) The man convicted of murdering an innocent elderly couple during a robbery in 1996, Carman Deck, is set for execution tonight at 6 o'clock at the Eastern Reception, Diagnostic, and Correctional Center at Bonne Terre. The United States Supreme Court declined to halt the execution and a press release from Missouri Governor, Mike Parson, indicates the Governor is not granting clemency. Deck has fully admitted to the execution style murders of 69 year old James Long and his wife, 67 year old Zelma at their Jefferson County Home. Three separate juries have recommended Deck be given the death sentence. Deck's case has been reviewed many times including with the state trial court, Missouri Supreme Court, federal district court, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, and The United States Supreme Court.
