December 29th Missouri Senate History

(Jefferson City, MO) The 2024 Missouri Legislative session begins soon. Missouri Senate Reporter, Dean Morgan, says on this day, December 29th in 1856, in Missouri Senate history, it was the first day, of the first session, 19th General Assembly and legislators were dealing with bank regulations and railroads among other issues.

The session begins January 3rd and will continue until May 17th.
