County Versus City Marijuana Tax

(Farmington, MO) Some towns in the Parkland, as well as St. Francois County government, will have a proposal on the April ballot for implementing a 3% sales tax on the sale of recreational marijuana. The City Administrator of Farmington, Greg Beavers tells KFMO B104 News you'll only pay the tax to one entity which means the county would only collect the tax if a dispensary was outside city limits.

Currently there are no dispensaries in the county's jurisdiction. The only dispensaries in St. Francois County are within the city limits of Park Hills and Farmington. Be sure to tune in for April election night coverage with the freedom leader in the Parkland, KFMO.
