County Appropriations Reach UniTec Foundation

(Farmington, MO) St. Francois County is making an allocation of $24,000 to the UniTec Foundation as part of an effort to build a new welding instructional facility on the UniTec grounds. St. Francois County Commissioner, Kary Buckley, says the foundation is gathering funds to build an addition to UniTec for the new facility and the appropriations have to be completed by May 15th in order for the group to get the full amount of grant monies available for the work.

Commissioners approved the funding at their Tuesday meeting. In other business final approval was given to officially accept the new St. Francois County Seal design from Farmington native Bryan Finch.
