County Addresses Jail Water Issue

(Farmington, MO) An issue concerning stormwater runoff at the St. Francois County Jail's new maintenance building will be solved after action was taken at Tuesday's meeting of county commissioners. St. Francois County 2nd District Commissioner, David Kater, says the work will add a little over $6,700 to the projects construction costs.

In other business at Tuesday's St. Francois County Commission meeting commissioners awarded annual bids for county supplies and gave approval to the Prosecuting Attorneys office to apply for a grant to hire a full time attorney to handle sexually related prosecution. The funds would come from a no match $100,000 grant from American Rescue Plan Act monies otherwise known as ARPA funds.
