Counts Wins Vote in Special Bismarck Election

(Bismarck, MO.) Lochie Counts will retain her position as Ward 2 Bismarck alderman after a special election Tuesday to determine the winner from a tie vote in the special June election. Counts, who has been serving in the Ward 2 position since last September, won the election with 34 votes. Her challenger, Dustin Garling received 26. Counts says one idea she'd like to continue working on is to support local business and bring in more. 

Counts adds she's grateful for the confidence shown in the vote of the people. She was appointed to fill the Ward 2 slot when it became vacant last year.
