(Jefferson City, MO) It appears millions of dollars in funding for community colleges in Missouri will stay in the latest state budget as the Missouri legislative body adjourns at 6 o'clock this evening. According to the President of Mineral Area College, Dr. Joe Gilgour, says you can see how increased funding has helped the school with the new construction and technical programs now available.
The funding was discussed at Thursday's MAC Board of Trustees meeting. Also discussed at the meeting, business board members received an update on this weekend's commencement exercises. Gilgour says they have around 350 graduates who will take the walk Saturday.
