Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The City of Farmington has installed "no left turn" signs on eastbound Valley Creek Drive at Maple Valley Drive in an effort to manage traffic flow ahead of the highly anticipated opening of Chick-fil-A.
With the new restaurant expected to bring increased traffic to the area, City Administrator Greg Beavers says the city hopes the change will help mitigate congestion and improve safety for drivers.
To avoid the restricted turns, drivers heading to Karsch Boulevard are encouraged to exit through Market Street.
In addition to the signage, the City of Farmington has plans for future improvements at the intersection of Market Street and Maple Valley Drive. These upgrades include the installation of a traffic signal and the possibility of adding more lanes to accommodate the expected growth in traffic.
The new Chick-fil-A location, which has been under construction for several months, is set to open in November.
