Cadet Man Charged with Assault

(Cadet, MO) A man from Cadet, 38 year old Kenneth Eugene Evans III, is facing charges of first degree assault serious physical in jury, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, and tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution after he allegedly shot a man in the head twice and attempted to hide the gun. Reports indicate Washington County Sheriff's Deputies were called to Rock Hill Road last Thursday in regards to a person being shot. Evans is said to have shot the man during a physical altercation while drinking alcohol. Evans and his girlfriend are alleged to have loaded the man into an SUV and then crashed the vehicle on their way to the hospital. Evans is being held at the Washington County jail on $1 million bond.
