Burrow Convicted of Sodomy

(St. Francois County, MO) A man from Ironton, 64 year old Cecil Burrow is convicted of 4 counts of sodomy in the first degree after a jury trial this week in St. Francois County. A press release from the office of St. Francois County Prosecuting Attorney, Melissa Gilliam, indicates the jury heard evidence for a day and half and returned a verdict after deliberating for a half an hour. Following the guilty verdicts, the jury heard evidence at a sentencing hearing and returned verdicts that Mr. Burrow be sentenced to 20 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections on each count. Formal sentencing will be pronounced on July 22, 2022. Burrow had been accused of having nonconsentual sex with a 19 year old woman at a trailer at Lake Hannah. It's reported Burrow had said it was consentual yet admitted she was intoxicated and confused.
