Bonne Terre May Vote on Safety Proposition

(Bonne Terre, MO) Bonne Terre citizens may vote on a safety proposition that would see more funding go to the police and fire departments in the town. The City Administrator of Bonne Terre, Shawn Kay, says the issue would be to approve a sales tax to fund additional personnel for the police department and additional equipment the fire department.

Kay says the rate of the sales tax proposal hasn't been set yet. Council members are still in the planning stages of the proposal.
