Body Scanner for County Jail

(Farmington, MO) A new body scanning device is set to be installed at the St. Francois County Jail. The Presiding Commissioner of St. Francois County, Harold Gallaher, says now the law doesn't allow for a strip search of someone coming into the jail.

The scanner comes with a price tag of about $141,000. Approval of the device, and funding, was discussed at Tuesday's St. Francois County Commission meeting.
