Body Found in van at Bonne Terre Cemetery

(Bonne Terre, MO) Bonne Terre law enforcement officials are investigating a body found at the Bonne Terre Cemetery Sunday afternoon. Bonne Terre Police Chief, Doug Calvert, tells KFMO B104 News officers with the department were called to the scene about 4 pm where they found the body of a man deceased in a van at the cemetery. Police secured the area and began their investigation discovering the van was registered to the man. Neighbors close to the cemetery were contacted and any security cam footage is being reviewed as well. Calvert adds there were no outward signs of trauma on the man's body and there were no other signs of foul play. The man had apparently spent some time at the homeless shelter in Bonne Terre prior to the incident. An autopsy was conducted Monday and a toxicology test was ordered. Police are still waiting on the results. The man's name isn't being released yet since some of his relatives are still being notified.
