Betty Medley Day Declared

(Farmington, MO) A special Missouri House Resolution is declaring March 15th as Betty Medley Day. Medley was the administrator for the Weber Road Facility of St. Francois County government and worked with other offices in the courthouse and annex buildings since 1985. The resolution was read at the Tuesday morning St. FRancois County Commission meeting. Associate St. Francois County Commissioner, Kary Buckley, says words can't describe the incredible amount of information Medley handled for the county. Kary adds everyone from the elected officials to the county's office workers and road crews will miss her assistance.

In other business at Tuesday's St. Francois County Commission meeting the process of approving general bids for county supplies began. The group of bids passed this stage of the process and now go to the County Auditor's office. An upgrade to internet speeds at the courthouse building, and the jail, was approved. The work is needed, especially in the courthouse building, for surveillance and security video.
