Jefferson City, Mo. (KFMO) - Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe has signed three executive orders aimed at improving government efficiency, enhancing stakeholder engagement, and ensuring ethical conduct within his administration. The initiatives underline the Governor’s commitment to fostering a transparent, accountable, and effective government.
“These executive orders demonstrate our administration's commitment and dedication to responsible governance and meaningful reform,” said Governor Kehoe.
The three orders include:
Executive Order 25-11: This order delegates supervisory authority over specific departments, divisions, and agencies to designated members of the Governor’s staff. The move is designed to improve oversight and ensure critical state functions are managed efficiently.
Executive Order 25-12: A comprehensive code of conduct is established for the Office of the Governor’s staff, setting clear ethical standards to uphold integrity and professionalism across the administration.
Executive Order 25-13: This order requires all executive department directors and commissioners to dedicate at least eight hours per month to engage with stakeholders. The measure ensures decision-making is informed by those directly impacted by government policies. Additionally, it prohibits the issuance of new rules without prior approval from the Governor’s office, reducing unnecessary bureaucracy and aligning regulatory actions with state priorities.
Governor Kehoe’s administration aims to use these orders to create a more effective and responsive government while maintaining high ethical standards. The measures reflect an effort to make government operations more accessible and aligned with the needs of Missouri residents.
